About Living Cookbook publications

In Living Cookbook, a publication is like a virtual cookbook that you create for the purpose of publishing in Microsoft Word format. The use of the virtual cookbook concept allows you to create multiple cookbooks with common recipes without the need to duplicate the recipes. The recipes are stored in your cookbooks (in the Recipe tab) and your publications (or virtual cookbooks) simply point to them. When you update a recipe in the Recipe tab, the recipe is automatically updated in all of your publications.

The process of creating a cookbook for publication consists of four simple steps:

  1. Enter or import your recipes in the Recipe tab.
  2. Create a publication and choose an export template.
  3. Create your publication chapters and add your publication's recipes.
  4. Export your publication to Microsoft Word.

Once your publication has been exported, you can open the resulting Word file in Microsoft Word. Once in Word you can make any changes you like.
