Create an index concordance file
Index concordance file is a fancy name for a text file that Living Cookbook uses to automatically index your publications. The file contains a list of all of the words that you want indexed in your publication.
Note If you choose not to associate an index concordance
file with a publication, Living Cookbook will simply index the names of the
recipes.
- Open a text editing program (such as NotePad).
- Type a word you want to mark as an index entry. Make sure to enter the text
exactly as it appears in the document.
- Press TAB.
- Type the index entry for the text (as it will appear in the index).
- Press Enter to start a new line.
- Repeat steps 2 through 5 for each index reference and entry.
Tip If the reference text and entry text are identical,
you can omit steps 3 and 4.
Your index concordance file should look something like this:

Note Notice how, in the example above, both "almonds"
and "almond" will get indexed as "almond".
- On the File menu, click Save As to save your file. It is recommended
that you save the file in the Templates directory in the Living Cookbook program
directory (normally C:\Program Files\Radium Technologies\Living Cookbook\Templates).
This will ensure that your index files get backed up with your other Living
Cookbook files.
