About importing data

Living Cookbook data can import recipe data from the following applications: Living Cookbook (FDX, LC2, LCX), Diet Pro (FDX), Bartender's Companion (FDX, LC2 and LCX), MasterCook (MXP and MX2), Meal-Master (TXT, MM, MMF), Pocket Express (CSV), MicroKitchen Companion (TXT), and Recipe Processor 2000 (TXT). Using the FDX file format, the following data can also be imported: ingredients, menus, meals, glossary items, cooking techniques, grocery lists, publications, web pages and searches.

In addition, USDA ingredient data can be imported. Periodically, the USDA updates their nutrient database. Living Cookbook can import their Microsoft Access database files directly. Their database files are normally named SRXX.mdb (where XX is the version number of the database).
