Import FDX files

The following data types can be imported from Food Data Exchange XML (FDX) files: recipes, ingredients, menus, meals, glossary items, cooking techniques, grocery lists, inventory items, store ingredients, publications, web pages and searches.

  1. On the File menu, click Import.
  2. Choose the import file type.
    1. Select Food Data Exchange XML (FDX).
    2. Click Next.
  3. Choose the import file.
    1. Click the Import File ellipsis button to select a file to import.
    2. Tip  If you don't want to import all of the data in the file, click the checkboxes next to the data items to deselect them.

    3. Click Next.
  4. Choose the import options.
    1. Click the appropriate import option ellipsis buttons to select the import options for you file import.
    2. Note  The import option ellipsis buttons will be enabled based on the type of data in the import file.

    3. Click Next.
  5. Review the import progress.
    1. Click the Save Log if you wish to save the import log as a text file.
  6. Click Finish to close the window.
