Advanced glossary item search

  1. Select the Reference Navigator tab.
  2. How?

  3. On the Action menu, point at Search and click Glossary Items .
  4. - or -

    Right-click on the Navigator treeview, point at Search and click Glossary Items.

  5. Click the Advanced Search tab.
  6. Select the database column you want to include in your search in the Column list.
  7. Select the condition from the Condition list.
  8. Type the value in the Value box.
  9. Click Add to List to add it to the list of active search criteria.
  10. Repeat steps 4 to 7 for each additional search criterion.
  11. Tip  If you enter two or more criteria, you can change the boolean operator (i.e., "And" or "Or") by clicking on a criterion and selecting a new boolean operator from the list.

    Tip  If you enter three or more criteria, you can add braces to your expression by selecting two or more adjacent criteria and clicking on Add [].

  12. Type the name of your search in the Search Name box.
  13. Tip  Giving your search a meaningful name will help you find it the next time you need it.

  14. Click OK.

Tip  Click Remove to remove a criterion from the list of active expressions.

Tip  Click Remove [] to remove braces from your search expression.

Tip  Advanced search expressions can be combined with basic search expression.
