HTML views

Much of the information in The Living Cookbook is displayed in HTML views that work just like web pages on the Internet. They utitlize HTML for rich formatting and useful hyperlinks.

Click on a heading below to learn more about the HTML view

Task toolbar

The task toolbar buttons serve as quick links to commonly performed tasks. Clicking a task toolbar button is the same as selecting the corresponding menu item from the task menu.

New - Create a new item (item created depends on context)

Edit - Edit the selected item

Delete - Delete the selected item

Refresh - Refresh the current view

Properties - Modify the properties of the current view

Print preview - Preview the selected item

Print - Print the selected item

Export - Export the selected item

E-mail - E-mail the selected item

Hyperlinks

Many of the HTML views contain hyperlinks to other parts of the application. When you move your mouse over a hyperlink the text will turn red. In the example below clicking on the hyperlink will take you to the glossary item titled "Saturated Fat."

Clicking on the hyperlink in the example below will open up your web browser and display the National Fisheries Institute web site.

Note: This only works if you are connected to the Internet.

Print and print preview

HTML views can be previewed and printed. As shown below, printed recipes look exactly the same as they do on the screen.
