Export a publication to Microsoft Word

  1. Select the Publish Navigator tab.
  2. How?

  3. Select the publication you want to publish.
  4. Right-click on the publication and then, on the popup menu, point to Action, and then click Export to Microsoft Word.
  5. - or -

    Right-click on the Task pane and then, on the popup menu, point to Action, and then click Export to Microsoft Word.

    Click Export on the task toolbar.

  6. Select a file name for your exported publication.
  7. Click the Template File ellipsis button to select the publication template or select the template from the list.
  8. Tip  For information on creating your own publication templates, see Create a publication template.

  9. Click the Index File ellipsis button to select the index concordance file.
  10. Tip  For information on creating your own index file, see Create an index concordance file.

  11. Click Show Microsoft Word during export to display Microsoft Word during the export.
  12. Click Validate Template to check the template for errors when beginning the export.
  13. Note  Once you have validated a publication at least once, you can turn off template validation to speed up the export.

  14. Click Start Export to begin exporting your publication.
  15. Note  It may take a few minutes for large publications to export.

    Note  It is recommended that you limit publications to 100 or fewer recipes. If you want to create larger publications, it is recommended that you export a seried of smaller files and then copy and paste them together in Microsoft Word.
