Edit a menu

Tip  Click on the hyperlinks next to the arrows to expand each section or click the show all link at the top right of this page.

  1. Select the Recipe Navigator tab.

    2. How?

  2. Select the menu you want to edit.
  3. On the Action menu, click Edit Menu.

    4. - or -

    Right-click on the navigator treeview and then, on the popup menu, click Edit Menu.

    - or -

    Click Edit on the task toolbar.

  4. Click the Menu tab.
  5. Edit the menu properties.

    1. Type the name of the menu in the Menu Name box.
    2. Click the Cookbook Chapter ellipsis button to select a chapter for the menu.
    3. Click the Photograph ellipsis button to select a photograph for the menu.
    4. Type the serving quantity in the Servings box.
    5. Click the Menu Type ellipsis button to select one or more types for the menu.

      6. How?

    6. Type the menu comments in the Comments box.

      7. Note  Only the menu name and cookbook chapter are mandatory. All other menu information is optional.

  6. Click the Items tab.
  7. Select the menu items.

    1. Click Add to add a new menu item row. Follow the instructions in the Add Menu Item window to add recipes, ingredients, headings or text.
    2. If you added a recipe or an ingredient, enter the serving quantity in the Quantity box.

      Tip  Click Move Up or Move Down to change the order of the menu items.

  8. Click the Nutrition tab.
  9. Edit the menu nutrition information.

    1. Type the nutrient values in the Nutrient boxes.
    2. Click Calculate From Ingredients to calculate the nutrient values instead of typing them.

      3. How?

      Note  Nutritional information is optional.

  10. Click the Tips tab.
  11. Edit the menu tips.

    1. Click Add to add a new tip row.
    2. Type the tip in the Tip column.

      3. Tip  Click Move Up or Move Down to change the order of the tips.

  12. Click the Author tab.
  13. Edit the menu author information.

    1. Type the menu author in the Author box.
    2. The the menu source in the Source box.
    3. The the web page of the menu source in the Web Page box.
    4. Click the Photograph ellipsis button to select a photograph for the author or menu source.

      5. Tip  Click Use source information from last menu to copy the author information from your last menu.

    5. Under Author Notes, click Add to add an author note row.
    6. Type the author note in the Author Note column.

      7. Tip  Click Move Up or Move Down to change the order of the author notes.

  14. Click Check Spelling to check the spelling of the menu.

  15. Click OK.
