Working with custom menu types

Living Cookbook lets you choose from built-in menu types, but also lets you add your own. To set the menu type for a menu, try the following:

  1. Select the Recipe Navigator tab.

    2. How?

  2. Select the menu you want to edit.
  3. On the Action menu, click Edit Menu.

    4. - or -

    Right-click on the navigator treeview and then, on the popup menu, click Edit Menu.

    Click Edit on the task toolbar.

  4. Click the Menu tab.

  5. Click Menu Type ellipsis button .

  6. Click on a menu type in the Available Menu Types list or enter one or more menu types in the Menu Type box.

    7. Tip  Use the menu type box to add custom menu types to this menu.

    Tip  Click the Master Menu Type List button to add custom menu types to the application. This will make the custom menu types available throughout the application (not just in the selected menu).

  7. Click OK to close the Menu Type window.
  8. Click OK to close the Edit Menu window.
