Mushroom Cheese Rarebit
 
2 1/2 cups   Fresh Mushrooms, sliced  
2 Tbs   Onions, chopped  
2 Tbs   Butter or Margarine  
2   1- 1/2 oz. pkgs. Cheese Sauce Mix  
1/2 cup   Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated  
 
 
1 Using fresh mushrooms (approximately ½ lb.) sauté with onions in butter. Prepare cheese sauce mix according to package directions.
2 Add grated cheese, Worcestershire sauce, salt, ginger and pepper. Stir over low heat until cheese is melted. Add sautéed mushrooms.
 
Servings: 6
 
Cooking Tips
Serve in patty shells or toast points.
