Use a recipe as an ingredient in another recipe

Linking recipe ingredient text to a recipe work almost exactly the same as linking to an ingredient.

  1. Select the Recipe Navigator tab.

  2. Select the recipe with the ingredients (recipes)you want to link.
  3. On the Action menu, click Edit Recipe.

    4. - or -

    Right-click on the navigator treeview and then, on the popup menu, click Edit Recipe.

    - or -

    Click Edit on the task toolbar.

  4. Click the Ingredients tab.

  5. Select the ingredient (recipe) you want to link.
  6. Click Link.

  7. Select Search Recipes.
  8. Click Search.
  9. In the Search Pane select the recipes that matches your recipe ingredient.

    10. Tip  If a matching recipe does not appear in the search pane, try reducing the number of words in the Search for box, or try an alternative spelling of the recipe.

  10. Below Match the quantity and unit, type the Quantity of the matching recipe.

    11. Note  If a recipe is linked to another recipe it cannot be linked by another recipe. In other words, you can't create chains of linked recipe (recipe A links to recipe B which links to recipe C). This is by design.

  11. Click OK.

Note  The quantity of the matching recipe are required to calculate recipe nutrition.
