E-mail publications

Publication data can only be e-mailed using the Food Data Exchange XML (FDX) file type.

  1. On the File menu, click E-mail.
  2. Choose the file type.
    1. Choose a file type.
    2. Note  You must select FDX in order to e-mail publications.

    3. Click Next.
  3. Choose the data you want to e-mail.
    1. Click Add to select more data to e-mail.
    2. Click Next.
  4. Choose the export options.
    1. Click the Publication Options ellipsis button .
    2. Select the Publication Elements you want to e-mail.
    3. Click OK to close the Publication Export Properties window.
    4. Click Next.
  5. Compose your e-mail message.
    1. Enter one or more e-mail addresses in the To box.
    2. Tip  You can enter e-mail addresses or names. If you enter a name, Living Cookbook will attempt to match it to an entry in your e-mail software's address book..

      Note  If you use Microsoft Outlook and you see the following window, click Yes. This is just Living Cookbook trying to resolve your e-mail addresses.

    3. Enter the e-mail subject in the Subject box.
    4. Enter your e-mail message in the Message box.
    5. If you want Living Cookbook to automatically resolve recipient names, click Automatically resolve recipient names. For example, you could type "Peter" and Living Cookbook would resolve this to "Peter Jenkins" by searching your e-mail address book.
  6. Review the e-mail progress.
    1. Click the Save Log if you wish to save the export log as a text file.
    2. Note  If you use Microsoft Outlook and you see the following window, click Yes. This is just Living Cookbook trying to send your message.

  7. Click Finish to close the window.
