Right-click on the navigator pane and then, on the popup menu, point to Search, then click the desired search type (e.g. recipe, ingredient, etc.).

on the main toolbar to open the default search window.
Living Cookbook incorporates a powerful search engine for finding recipes and ingredients. The search interface varies depending on the thing you are looking for, but the principles remain the same. Search items are saved in the Searches folder in the Navigator treeview. Clicking on a search item will retrieve the search results in the task pane.
